Myopia Control

With myopia (nearsightedness) on the rise, it is important to manage it early. If your child has greater risk of becoming highly myopic, a myopia control program may be recommended.

Orthokeratology

Orthokeratology (Ortho-K) contact lens correct your eyesight while you sleep. No glasses or surgery necessary for clear vision in the day!

Mi-Sight® Contact Lens

Specifically designed for slowing myopia progression in kids ages 8-12, Mi-Sight® is the only FDA-approved daily contacts lens for myopia control.

Atropine Eye Drops

Topical atropine eye drops temporarily relaxes the eye's focusing mechanism, reducing myopia progression.

Orthokeratology

Orthokeratology, also referred to as "Ortho-K", lens are specialized contact lens designed to temporarily reshape your cornea as you sleep. These lens are worn overnight, and provide clear vision throughout the day, eliminating the need for glasses, disposable contact lens, or surgery to have clear vision. Ortho-K requires regular use to maintain effects.  

Mi-Sight® Contact Lens

Mi-Sight® 1 day contact lens is the only FDA-approved contact lens for slowing the progression of myopia in kids that start the program between ages 8 to 12. These daily lens are safe and easy to use for age-appropriate children. Talk to your provider to see if your kid is a candidate for Mi-Sight® 1 day.

Atropine Eye Drops

Atropine eye drops dilate the pupil and relaxes the eye's focusing mechanism. This can be used in combination with the Ortho-K lens, and when done so, have yielded more effective results in myopia control. Talk to your optometrist to see if this option is available for you.
